AUBURN, Ala.- The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) has informed the City of Auburn that it will begin a resurfacing project on state Route 147 tomorrow, Oct. 9, weather permitting. The project will include resurfacing Shug Jordan Parkway from South College Street to North College Street and South College Street from Interstate 85 to the East University Drive/Shug Jordan Parkway intersection.

Motorists should expect lane closures and reduced speed limits throughout the project, which is expected to last through spring 2025. ALDOT encourages drivers to plan accordingly for possible delays and to be mindful of people and equipment in the work zone.

Lane closures will not be permitted during Auburn University's home football game weekends.
